PCRL representatives elected to USARL board

Last week’s election of the USARL’s new permanent board of directors marks a significant step forward for rugby league in the USA. Pacific Coast Rugby League (PCRL) applauds the diverse and experienced group chosen, including four individuals with strong ties to PCRL itself.

PCRL board members David Abo and Matt Goschnick bring valuable leadership and knowledge from the West Coast rugby league scene to the national governing body. George Tupou from PCRL’s Utah Rugby League Association (URLA) ensures representation from all corners of the US rugby league landscape and a much-needed voice for the URLA at the highest level. PCRL Creative Committee member and host of the popular Rugby League in America podcast, Dustin Zerrer will bring a strong media and communications perspective.

Joining these four will be fellow board members Drew Slover, Billy Neilson, Darren Piggins, Miranda Barnard, and Chris Martin. This blend of established figures and fresh faces we trust will help to make rugby league as strong as it can be in the USA. The elected nine person board may still make up to three additional appointments, allowing for further inclusion of expertise and representation from key areas within US rugby league.

PCRL welcomes the election news, and is committed to working closely with the newly elected board, emphasizing the importance of collaboration and unity in growing the sport we love. This united front, combining the diverse strengths of various organizations, can propel rugby league in the USA to new heights.
