Inaugural men’s PCRL championship draws near

Men’s California conference champions Santa Rosa Dead Pelicans will face-off against the URLA conference champions on August 12th, in what promises to be a thriller of a match up to decide the inaugural men’s PCRL champions.

This Saturday August 5th the Provo Broncos and Riverton Seagulls will complete for the first ever Hopoate Cup and the URLA Utah conference title, with the victor making the trip to California the following week to take on the undefeated Dead Pelicans.

“As the first ever PCRL California champions we are very honored to host the PCRL Championship here in Santa Rosa.” commented Dead Pelicans President Robert Beasley. “We are gearing up for an epic showdown against the Utah division champions on August 12th. The stakes will be extremely high, and the competition will be more than fierce. Both teams have been playing very hard to get to this point, and we are ready to leave it all on the field. It's sure to be a game for the ages, and fans won't want to miss it!”

The game on August 12th will take place at For Pete’s Sake Pitch (2750 W. Steel Lane, Santa Rosa, CA) with gates open from 11am for a 1pm kickoff. Food vendors will be on site and an after event will take place at Iron Ox Brewing Company following the trophy presentation.

To the PCRL victor, national glory beckons. The PCRL men’s champions will travel to Florida on August 26th to play the USARL South champions for the USA National Cmapionship.
